Dr. Tyrel Means, PT, DPT, FAFS, FMR
Physical Therapist
Ty blends sports and movement science with a whole-person approach to help people move and feel better - whether that’s returning to sports, keeping up with kids, or getting through the workday without pain. Patients value his thoughtful, easy going nature and the way he personalizes care using both hands-on treatment and targeted exercise.
Training & clinical focus
Ty earned his Fellowship of Applied Functional Science (FAFS) from the Gray Institute in 2017 after 40 weeks of intensive study in functional biomechanics and sports medicine. He integrates techniques such as integrative dry needling, cupping, myofascial release, and Kinesio taping within comprehensive, movement-based plans of care.
Experience
He has treated across multiple settings - outpatient orthopedics, acute care, and skilled nursing—working in nine states as a traveling PT before settling back into the Fort Worth outpatient community. That breadth of experience informs his ability to tailor treatment to each person’s goals and lifestyle.
